Providers
Talissa Adkison, MD

Medical Director
Talissa has been with Geriatric Solutions since 2013 and also serves as a Hospice of the Valley medical director. She is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. She received her bachelor’s in Biology from Baylor University and her doctorate in Medicine from Royal College of Surgeons in in Dublin, Ireland. She did her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and her Geriatrics Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine. Talissa was born in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Carina Calugaru
Carina Calugaru, NP

Nurse Practitioner
Carina joined Geriatric Solutions in 2019, after practicing internal medicine in a private practice in the West Valley. She attended University of Phoenix and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She has over 20 years of healthcare experience, having worked in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation, home health, as well as hospice and palliative care. She is passionate about providing individualized care to the geriatric population. Carina is married and has two daughters.

Geoff Cunningham, NP

Nurse Practitioner
Geoff joined Geriatric Solutions in 2022. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from University of Colorado College of Nursing, and his Master of Science from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, with 13 years of hospital experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care. He is passionate about serving the geriatric population and learning from each patient interaction. Geoff is married with three children and a dog. His Catholic faith and family are very important aspects in his life. Fun fact:  growing up in southern California, he has been fortunate to have skied and surfed, all in the same day.

Tonya Dominguez, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner
Tonya is a board-certified nurse practitioner with 10 years of hospital experience as a registered nurse in acute care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and her Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner from University of Phoenix. Her clinical interests span across preventative health, geriatrics, home-based care and long-term care, reflecting her commitment to personalized patient care. She is proud of her Arizona roots and enjoys hiking, board games and family vacations with her husband and daughter.

Carolyn Gatti-Anderson, NP

Nurse Practitioner
Carolyn joined Geriatric Solutions in 2022, shortly after joining Hospice of the Valley in 2021 as an After Hours visit nurse. She was a registered nurse for over eight years in a hospital setting before becoming a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She is a graduate of Grand Canyon University and a certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence nurse. Originally from Georgia, Carolyn enjoys country-dancing with her soon-to-be husband, writing novels and reading.

Christina Gettens, DNP, AGNP

Nurse Practitioner
Christina joined Geriatric Solutions in 2024 as an adult-geriatric nurse practitioner. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University in 2020 and has experience in geriatrics and dementia care. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse at the Phoenix VA Medical Center on the medical/surgical hospital floor. Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, reading fantasy novels, traveling and cooking.

Jessica Harper
Jessica "Jessy" Harper, DNP

Nurse Practitioner
Jessy joined Geriatric Solutions in early 2021. A certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona and her bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University. Her clinical history, dating back to 2007, includes hospice, pediatric emergency, couplet care, forensics and sleep medicine. Jessy is married with three children and three dogs. She enjoys spending her free time being active with her family.

Maria Ramella, NP

Nurse Practitioner
Maria joined Geriatric Solutions in 2023 after practicing pulmonary and sleep medicine in Central Phoenix. She has 19 years of healthcare experience, is board-certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She draws upon her extensive background in cardiovascular ICU nursing when helping patients and families navigate the complexities of their healthcare needs. The native Phoenician enjoys volunteering to improve the lives of pets and people in her community.

Autumn Richardson, NP

Nurse Practitioner
Autumn joined Geriatric Solutions in 2023, after seven years as a registered nurse, working primarily in inpatient adult and pediatric ICU settings. The board board-certified family nurse practitioner has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona. She is proud of attaining Magnet Recognition for excellence in nursing for a children’s hospital and mentoring many nursing students and new graduate nurses. Autumn and her husband enjoy traveling, hiking, sporting events and spending time with their cat and two dogs.

Jamie Sparrow, DO
Jamie Sparrow, DO

Medical Director
Jamie joined Geriatric Solutions in 2022. She is a board-certified physician with 10 years’ experience in family medicine, palliative care and hospice care. She volunteers as a clinical faculty member for the School of Medicine at Mayo Clinic. She is a graduate from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and did her residency at University of Maryland Medical Center. She enjoys reading, hiking and fishing.

Randy Torres Jr., FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner
Randy is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Geriatric Solutions. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nursing at Grand Canyon University, as well as his post-master’s Advanced Practice Certification. He is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Randy has a passion for primary care, which allows him to build strong patient-provider relationships. His approach is to empower individuals so that they can achieve their maximum health potential. In his free time, he is a league bowler and enjoys spending time with his family while being present in all of their activities. His immediate family consist of his spouse, four children and three grandchildren.

Jennifer Tudor, NP

Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer joined Geriatric Solutions in 2023 after 10 years in acute care nursing. She is a Grand Canyon University graduate and board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in Family Medicine. Jennifer is originally from Ohio and a big fan of most sports and adventure. 

Samantha Ware Crouch, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner 
Samantha has been with Geriatric Solutions since 2018 and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She also is adjunct faculty at University of Arizona’s College of Nursing, her undergraduate alma mater. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. Her broad clinical experience includes critical care, pediatrics, primary care and geriatrics. She has a fun, full household with her husband, four children, a dog and a cat.
